Visual Assist X is active in the IDE when editing every file type Visual Assist X supports. If for some reason you need to disable Visual Assist X temporarily, you can do so with a toolbar button in Microsoft Visual C++ or menu item in Microsoft Visual Studio.
When disabled, Visual Assist X remains loaded but ceases to provide assistance.

Use the Add/Remove Programs control panel to remove Visual Assist X from your system.
