Any terminal application can be used to connect to the COM ports, this section shows how to do this with HyperTerminal.
From the start menu select →→ and finally .
Type in a name for the connection
A "" dialog will appear. Make sure to select the correct COM port.
Press the "" button and use the setting shown in COM port settings window. Click the "" button twice.
You now have a terminal window ready to use
Repeat steps 1 to 5 for the second board assembly.
Type characters in one of the terminals and verify that they are conveyed over to the second terminal.
