Visual Assist X enriches the navigation and browsing capabilities of the Microsoft IDEs with the VA View. Some of the best and commonly used features of existing views and dialogs are assembled and reworked into the VA View. Similar in concept to the Solution Explorer, File View and Class View, the VA View stays open as you edit.

The VA View does not replace other views; it complements them. The VA View typically remains in the foreground during routine editing, providing information and simplifying navigation. Hunting and pecking through other views and dialogs is reduced drastically.
The VA View can float, hide and be tabbed with other views. Drop and drag it as you prefer.

Opening the VA View
The VA View is created normally during installation of Visual Assist X. Select the VA View item in the VAssist menu or press the VA View button in the Visual Assist X toolbar to make it reappear.

Eliminate VA View from a tabbed Solution Explorer window in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET by dragging the tab elsewhere and dismissing the newly created, floating window. Eliminate the VA View in Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 by unchecking Enable VA View in the Text Editor|C/C++ 6.0 node of the Visual Assist X options dialog.
